I am battling with this what appears to be simple concept. 7 x 57, I do not want to zero at 100 - I want 200 m zero, then the various drops. Where can i get info on this matter.

I have been using Vipers bullets for a while, when they were based in Gauteng. Then I heard the owner passed away, and a family member took over. He then sold the business, and it has apparently moved to Cape Town (according to their facebook page). I placed an order on their website 2 weeks ago, I had a confirmation e-mail from them, but still no delivery.

Anybody know what's going on there?

150gr 308 Plinking bullets to match Spoor 150s

I'm also thinking of trying out some spoor bullets (150gr in 308win), although I find them a bit pricy for general plinking. If I decide to go with them, can anyone suggest a cheap plinking bullet e.g Interlocks that are likely to shoot at the same trajectory and POI?

What are the legal consequences for accidental or negligent discharges, or what could they be?

I mean specifically for cases where there is no injury, harm, death etc, but rather just a dead toilet, holed dishwasher or broken tiles.

Almost a Mono bullet velocity reduction

I Cody was gifted a box of Spoor 140 gr bullets for his 7 mm. I am calling them half mono 🤣 because of the design/ construction. In the 7 mm 2800 fps is achievable, and I have no doubt of the effectiveness of these bullets at that velocity.

I have two questions though.
I have downloaded some to 2350 fps to try reduce meat damage at 100m or less type shots (80 % of all shots on the Impala)

I have also loaded some to 2555 fps for regular hunting.
Do you guys think there is any problem foreseeable with the 2350 fps load on game.
Do you think there will be a clear notable difference between the 2350 and 2550 fps bullet performance?

How does the Glock 26 differ from the Glock 30, specifically regarding recoil?

Odd Extraction Problem - what explanation ?

This was a 830 gr monolithic with 200 grains of Vihtavuori 20N and a CCI 35 primer. Lapua brass.

The three cartridges were for fouling shots, velocity came out at 2130 fps. Anaemic, just foulers.

The one extracted normally. The other two did not extract. Usually, when I open the bolt and nothing comes out, it's a case head separation. The entire case remained in the chamber. Barely a tap from a rod down the muzzle extracted the case.

I do not understand how the case rim escaped from the extractor when the bolt was opened.

It is possible that the primer pockets are loose, this is brass that I use for load development, it may have experienced a couple of hot firings already.

How does the primer back out just that far ? A loose primer pocket with a hot load tends to leave the primer stuck to the bolt face, so when the case ejects, the primer stays behind. There was no high pressure, bolt opened as easily as it closed.

Hostage situation: shoot or not?

In the movies one often sees the bad guy with his gun to a hostage's head. Depending on the intended outcome, the hero either puts down and wins later, or shoots the criminal and wins immediately.

I know that movies/TV etc has very little to do with real life, therefore I have questions for the experienced guys:

1. How little/often does this occur in real life? Ie: is it even realistic to prep the brain for such a situation?

2. Is there anything one should keep in mind in preparation for such a situation?

(For us here in SA, we would probably be facing a seasoned and hardened criminal, or a drug addict, or a combination of both.)

I have had a look at their KSG (shotgun) and Sub2000 carbine.
